EUGENE, Ore. — A driver pulling out of the Costco parking lot allegedly hit a bicyclist on Chad Drive Wednesday morning.
The cyclist claims the man actually hit her twice.
The woman told witnesses the man hit her once, clipping her back tire, and then rolled into her again, knocking her to the ground.
Other drivers in the area got out to help her while they waited for ambulances to arrive.
“I sat there and held her hand and we tried to get her backpack off of her for more comfort, but she was complaining of neck pain. She said she did hit her head a couple times on the pavement when she fell off her bike,” said April Perry, who says she helped the injured bicyclist.
Paramedics said she could have a broken leg or ankle, but witnesses said there was no blood.
