EUGENE, Ore. – The Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children will host a fundraiser Wednesday to help fight child abuse and neglect.
Party Downtown and Red Wagon Creamery will donate 25 percent of sales to CASA as part of their Taste of Summer fundraising campaign.
CASA advocates speak for a child in the courtroom, representing the child’s best interests and help them move through the court system as quickly as possible.
Money raised Wednesday will help train new CASA volunteers.
“Very generous of both businesses, we really appreciate their support because it’s the support of community, businesses like them that make it possible to do our work advocating for abused and neglected children,” said Sarah-Kate Sharkey, CASA Associate Director
Party Downtown and Red Wagon Creamery are located at 55 West Broadway.
