SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A mob stormed into a Springfield business Thursday morning, but a good kind–a cash mob.
Business owners and Springfield chamber members went to Addi’s Diner for breakfast, each spending between $10 and $15.
The chamber started the Cash Mob program back in October to help boost local business. Once a month, anywhere from 15 to 60 members get together and visit a restaurant or store in town.
“We appreciate our local business here. We want to make sure they get some visibility and get a little extra business,” said Springfield business owner Angelynn Pierce.
The planning committee already started brainstorming ideas for March’s cash mob, but it hasn’t announced where it will take place yet.
