Casino Measure Supporters Stop Campaign

WOOD VILLAGE, Ore. — Supporters to build a casino in Wood Village, called “The Grange”, have suspended their campaign, they announced Tuesday.

Members tried to gain voters’ support for Measures 82 and 83 in November, which would have made it possible for the casino to be built on private land. They said they knew it would be a challenge for the measures to pass.

The campaign will no longer run advertisements in support of the measures, according to a press release sent Tuesday.

The measures will remain on Oregon’s November ballot.
