EUGENE, Ore. — A sweet deal for breakfast lovers on Tuesday morning. IHOP is giving away free stacks of pancakes and it’s all for a good cause.
Tuesday is National Pancake Day and IHOP restaurants nationwide are raising money to support various charities. In Eugene, all donations will go toward the Children’s Miracle Network in Springfield. The hospital delivers about 2,500 babies per year. That’s about 25 percent of births in our area alone.
“Folks might be thinking they’re having a free stack at IHOP, [but they’re also] making that donation of just a couple extra dollars to give to the Children’s Hospital. It might seem like just a free breakfast, but what it means for our family is what’s really important,” says John Esa with the Children’s Miracle Network.
Last year, IHOP restaurants all over the country served 4.5 million free pancakes. Pancake lovers donated nearly $3 million to children’s charities. Since the inception of National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants have raised nearly $13 million.
The giveaway runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Click here for more information.
