Center for Community Counseling Reaches Out to Families in Need

EUGENE, Ore. — The Great Rotary Duck Race presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union is all about helping people in need.

The families who come to the Center for Community Counseling (CCC) couldn’t be more in need. They need mental health counseling, but don’t have insurance. That often leaves them with nowhere to turn until they find out about CCC. Since the nonprofit became part of the Duck Race, more people are finding out about it.

“Since the involvement of the agency, there’s been a definite increase in the number of people who are aware that we were here. The phone calls we’ve had, in some cases from people we can’t help, but we can refer them to the right location,” said Steve Guerber, Center for Community Counseling.
