METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
The high pressure ridge in control of our weather breaks down today as the next system moves in. Instead of seeing clear blue skies above the fog today, clouds are rapidly moving in ahead of the front.
For the valley we’ll have areas of freezing fog this morning and fog for the remainder of the day, keeping highs in the low 30s. Everywhere else will see some sun breaks by the afternoon and warm into the mid 40s.
Changes come tonight as a cold front move through the area. Rain will start around 3 a.m. with freezing rain in the valley, which could lead to a slippery commute Wednesday morning. Rain showers will continue throughout the day, with snow showers above 3000 feet; accumulation will be around 1 inch.
We’ll have a short break from the rain Wednesday night into Thursday ahead of the next system Thursday night. weekend.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
