EUGENE, Ore. — Charges have been filed against UO football player Jeremiah Masoli and former player Garrett Embry for theft.
Masoli and Embry have been accused of stealing from a University of Oregon fraternity house in late January. They are both charged with second degree burglary.
A Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity member, Max Wolfard, told The Oregonian that two men stole his laptop computers and a guitar early Sunday Wolfard told the newspaper the theives were Duck quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and wide receiver Garrett Embry.
Embry was kicked off the football team before the alleged theft took place
The District Attorney’s office says they will both appear in court Friday.
Oregon Head Football Coach Chip Kelly is reacting to the latest news regarding both Masoli and James.
Kelly released this statement saying, “I am carefully considering the latest news concerning Jeremiah Masoli and LaMichael James, and will make a decision regarding disciplinary action on Friday, March 12th.”
