EUGENE, Ore.– 10 days after his father suffered a heart attack in Arizona, Shaun Chase played hero in Eugene. The Oregon catcher hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning, propelling the Ducks to a 3-1 win and series sweep over Utah.

Senior starting pitcher Jeff Gold pitched eight innings, giving up one unearned run on two hits, while striking out three.

Oregon (17-5, 5-1 Pac-12) has won five straight games, and will now leave PK Park on a 10-game road trip.
