Chilly But Slightly Sunnier

Justin’s Weekend Forecast Discussion:

Chilly again tonight with the low driving inland in N. California, we’re seeing showers (and snow showers) slowly start to taper off. As skies clear some tonight, I’m expecting lows to approach freezing early Saturday morning in the valley. Foothills and some rural areas could see some patchy frost in the morning as well.

Tomorrow afternoon may be the only “sunny” day we see for a few. Morning clouds should break up some for the afternoon, leaving partly cloudy skies for most of Western Oregon. The cold air is very hard to move, so highs won’t be much if any warmer than today, in the upper 40s. Sunday starts dry but a strong cold front will bring back the rain by Sunday evening. Snow levels aren’t expected to drop below 4500 feet because the airmass with the front is warmer than the icebox stuff we are in now.

Early next week stays soggy on Monday and Tuesday, highs still in the low 50s. The rain tapers off around midweek as the system splits between Oregon, that should bring back some afternoon sun Wednesday and Thursday, but more rain is likely going into another chilly next weekend.

Have a great weekend!
