Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
One last day of rain showers before we get a break for a couple of days.
An area of low pressure is still making it’s way into western Oregon today. This will keep the showers going off and on through this evening. We’ll see more sun breaks and less rainfall though than yesterday. Highs will stay in the low 60s in the valley.
The Cascades are continuing to see snow showers above 5,000 feet. Willamette pass and Crater Lake picked up several inches this morning, snow showers will continue off and on through this evening. Highs will stay in the upper 30s and low 40s. Check out the snowy pictures here!
Starting Thursday a ridge of high pressure will move into western Oregon. This will dry us out and bring in more sunshine Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will return to the mid 60s Thursday, upper 60s Friday.
The weekend will likely be a few degrees warmer, however, a strong storm is tracking to move in Saturday night. This will bring in another round of rain for all of western Oregon Saturday night – Monday.
Have a great day!
