Chilly Temps Sticking Around

Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:

It’s been three days since the snow started falling and it’s hardly been touched. We’ve spent eight nights below freezing in Eugene and it was back down to sub-zero temps again this morning. The official low was -2°.

We’ll only climb to the mid 20s this afternoon and then its back to the teens tonight.

This cold arctic air mass will move on after Wednesday, but it’ll be a slow warm up and we’ll stay below freezing day and night.

The jet stream will drop south, bringing in the next round of storms Thursday. This may storm may bring in around of freezing rain and/or sleet early in the day before turning to rain Thursday afternoon.

Temperatures will then return to normal for the weekend with showers off and on.

Stay warm!
