EUGENE, Ore. — A warning from Eugene Police if you’re headed out to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Monday night.
Police will have two extra patrol cars out looking for drunken drivers. They’re increasing their presence on the roads, just like any other holiday, where people are out drinking.
Police say it’s best to have a plan on how to get home, before you go out.
“Don’t drink and drive. Obviously have a designated driver, make sure that you have somebody there or if you don’t have a designated driver, take a cab or have someone you can call to come pick you up,” said Sgt. Shawn Marsh, Eugene Police Department.
Police say they also had extra patrols out for this weekend’s spring game, just like they do for all the University of Oregon football games.
