EUGENE, Ore. — A circus and a symphony are coming to Matthew Knight Arena on Friday night—and they’re both part of the same show. It’s called Cirque Musica and it’s playing for one night only.
The show covers some of the greatest music of all time, from Beethoven to the Beatles to Bruno Mars, and it’s all played by Orchestra Next, a symphony orchestra based right here in Eugene.
One of the most highly anticipated acts is David Larible, who is known as the clown of clowns. He promises that the show will be a thrilling experience.
“At the beginning, they’re like they don’t know what to expect, and, ‘Oh, what’s it going to be,’” Larible says of the audience. “Then, slowly, you start and you see it, then [you're] totally engaged with what it is. It’s a beautiful experience.”
Cirque Musica will also feature the world-famous Wallenda high-wire duo and the thrilling Espana family.
Tickets for the show are still available and range from $25 to $80. Doors open at 7 p.m.
