Citizens Help OSP Arrest Reckless Driver

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Oregon State Police say a California man was arrested Monday following several driving complaints from citizens.

Around 6 p.m., OSP Southern Command Center dispatch received a report of a reckless driver operating at high speeds and passing on the shoulder of Interstate 5 southbound. Minutes later, a second driving complaint was received advising the vehicle, a 2013 Chrysler four-door, was driving reckless near milepost 125.

An OSP trooper located the vehicle a minute later and obtained a speed reading of 118 mph. The trooper was able to the vehicle two near milepost 123.

The trooper arrested Keenan F. Pipes, 25, of Madera for reckless driving and four counts of recklessly endangering another person. He was also cited for exceeding the posted speed limit in excess of 100 mph.

Pipes was lodged in the Douglas County Jail.

    revoke his license for life and give him the keys to a brand new Big Wheel.(pretty sure they have keyless entry now.)
