EUGENE, Ore. — If you can’t beat the heat during the next few days of hot weather, the City of Eugene says you can cool off at the library.
The downtown library is just one of many places to escape the heat during Eugene’s mini heat wave.
It’s hours are as follows: Sunday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“So especially as it gets hotter out later this week they’re welcome to come in to any of our locations at Bethel or Sheldon or of course downtown. They’re welcome to escape the heat and come enjoy some of our fun activities that we have planned,” says Youth and Branch Services Manager Angie Bray.
Other businesses including the Amazon Center, the Campbell Center, the Hilyard Center and Peterson Barn have lobbies where people can cool off during business hours.
