Clear and Chilly Start to Sunday

Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion

Skies remain clear as we head into Saturday night and Sunday morning. Temperatures will drop quickly into the 50s by 11:00 p.m. and then 30’s by sunrise. Clear skies will continue during the day Sunday and high temps will still be in the low 70s.  Monday forecast will be a near carbon copy of Sunday, with clear skies and a chilly start to the day, but warming near 70 degrees by the afternoon.

The Rex Block pattern that has controlled our weather for the past week begins to break down Tuesday and we switch back to onshore flow. This means the marine layer will move in each night bringing some clouds and fog inland,  so lows will be slightly warmer in the low 40s.

The forecast becomes more cloudy towards the end of the week as a front approaches. So far the chance of rain is slim, but cooler air will move in behind the front, so highs will fall into the mid to upper 60s.

I hope you have a great Sunday!
