Cold Days for Chintimini Wildlife Refuge

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Due to the freezing weather, the Chintimini Wildlife Refuge outside of Corvallis has been getting more birds than usual this week. Most of them are female hummingbirds.

The refuge says if you see the birds and you want to help them you can put out nuts and fruit in your yard. A water dish can help, but it’s tough to keep it unfrozen.

If you find an injured bird or mammal you can take it to the center any  time of year. Just consult their website: http://www.chintiminiwildlife.org/
