METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Mostly clear skies will cause another cold night Saturday, with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s along the coast and near 30 degrees inland. Sunny skies will continue Sunday, getting temperatures a few degrees warmer than Saturday and in the low to mid 60s.
Monday will be even warmer yet, with temperatures pushing 70 degrees in the Umpqua Basin. Clouds will increase late in the day ahead of the first of many storms. Showers will start late along the coast Monday and then spread inland Monday night. Showers will continue through the weekend as a series of waves move through.
The Cascades can expect rain showers Monday night, transitioning to a rain/snow mix Wednesday, then snow showers above 3,500 feet Thursday and Friday.
Have a super sunny Sunday!
