EUGENE Ore. — Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Columbia Bank on Seneca Road Friday afternoon. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says the same man is wanted in the Portland area, for assualting and kidnapping a young woman at a Milwaukie tanning salon in January.
The robbery happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. Police have identified the man as 49-year-old Kelly Swoboda. They say he gave the teller a note, got cash, and left in a green Chrysler van, that possibly had a rear window broken out.
That’s the same van police believe Swoboda used when he reportedly assaulted and kidnapped a young woman from the Palm Beach Tanning Salon in Milwaukie in January.
The victim told police he forced her into the minivan, but she jumped from the moving vehicle and got away.
Swoboda is described as 5’11” tall, 180 lbs, medium length grey hair tucked behind ears, and was last seen wearing a long sleeve white/black zip-up jacket, dark blue jeans and glasses.
He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, call 911. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
