Community Raises Money for Pro Bone-O

Still0810_00000EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene non-profit raised money for it’s free vet clinic Sunday.

Pro Bone-O holds two clinics a month for pets of homeless people. Sunday community members got together for a silent auction, pet dancing, and some fun in the sun with their four legged friends.

Organizers said fundraisers like this along with other donations are the way they’re able to provide hundreds of homeless pets with veterinarian care.

“We think our clinic is really important. We all love our pets. Everyone who has a pet has a pet for a reason and these pets are glad to see these people every single day,” said Maureen McClain, Pro Bone-O Treasurer.

Pro Bone-O said so many people come to their clinics they often times have to turn away some animals because they don’t have the resources to provide care to every animal.
