Community Rallies Around Tiny Dancer

5-30 Brielle 1SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A little girl dealing with two disorders, takes a big step forward and inspires hundreds along the way.

This is the fundraiser at the Wildish Theater in Springfield Friday night for little Brielle Crawford.

All of the moves by dancers from All That! Dance Company served as a fundraiser for the three-year-old who loves to dance.

She was born with two rare diseases: Hemifacial Microsomia-a congenital disorder that affects the development of the lower half of the face-and Klippel-Feil Syndrome-a skeletal disease.

Because she’s never given up and overcome challenges, she made her way onto the stage Friday night. Her dancing not only brought smiles to those watching, but helped spread a very important message.

“It’s not easy, but it’s sharing our story and it makes me feel very vulnerable,” said Jaylene Crawford, Brielle’s mom. “At the same time, Brielle has a very unique story. It needs to be told and awareness needs to be brought for the rare conditions like she has.”

The fundraiser was meant to help Brielle and her family help pay for some of the surgeries she will need over the years.

If you would like to help, a go fund me account has been created to help the family.
