Community Speaks Out on Plastic Bag Ban

EUGENE, Ore. — Whether Eugene will ban single-use plastic bags in the future is still undecided. City council members discussed the issue at their meeting Monday night.

A group in support of the ban presented the city council with a petition containing more than 1,500 signatures.

Many of the community members who spoke at the meeting, also supported banning single-use plastic bags.

Eugene City Council has yet to announce when, or if, it will vote on a possible city ban.
