Company Turns Doors into Work Stations

By Kelsey Card

EUGENE, Ore. — A growing tech company in Eugene is turning its workspace green — and a few other colors.

When SheerID moved its office, staff reevaluated the furniture.

Instead of buying new items, they bought 15 used doors from BRING Recycling.

The doors were then turned into workstations, tables, shelves and chalkboards.

“We wanted to be really frugal with our investors’ money, and here we are with door desks. Each one is totally unique,” said Jake Weatherly from SheerID Incorporated.

A Junction City man transforms the doors in his wood shop.

BRING says it aims to help businesses get creative with used materials.
