PRINEVILLE, Ore. — Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into a crash Tuesday morning involving a concrete mixer truck.
OSP says around 9 a.m., a concrete mixer truck was travelling westbound on Highway 26, when it traveled off the north side of the road. The truck struck a dirt embankment and rolled onto its side coming to a rest blocking the highway, spilling cement on the road.
The driver of the truck, Dwain Storm, 61, of Prineville, was transported by ambulance to Pioneer Memorial Hospital and then taken by air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend with serious injuries.
Troopers say the truck is registered to Prineville Sand and Gravel. They say the highway was closed about four hours. As crews worked to clean up the mess.
