EUGENE, Ore. – This mild-mannered Chihuahua mix paid a second visit to KEZI 9 News on Tuesday, hoping a family will take notice of her and decide to take her home.
Baby would be an easy dog to care for. She is independent, quiet and well-mannered. She also shows a healthy curiosity about new surroundings, and seemed to enjoy her second visit to KEZI.
Baby is 10-years-old and arrived at Greenhill Humane Society two weeks ago when her owner could no longer care for her.
Baby hopes to go home to a quiet family where she can settle in and get comfortable.
Baby has a history of ignoring cats, so with slow introductions she could probably join a household with cats. She could live with another small dog, but is afraid of large dogs. She is also afraid of children, so should go to an adult-only home.
Baby enjoys being held and has a medium energy level. She is house-trained and recently had some dental work done. She weighs just over 13 pounds.
Baby’s adoption fee has been reduced to $85 because of her age. The fee includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Every Tuesday, Greenhill Humane Society showcases homeless pets on KEZI 9 News Midday at 11 a.m.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to Greenhill in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the dog is compatible with everyone in the household.
