Police search for woman who allegedly robbed deli

Springfield Police said a woman entered the Ashley's Deli, presented a note demanding money, and displayed a knife.

SPRINGFIELD. Ore. -- Springfield Police are searching for a woman who they said robbed a local deli. 

Police said it happened at about 10:03 p.m. Friday at Ashley's Deli off of Main Street.

They said a woman entered the deli, presented a note demanding money, and displayed a knife. Officers said she also made verbal threats to the employee.

Once she got the money, police said she ran out the main door. Responding officers brought out a police K9 to help with their search, but could not find her.

Police describe her as a white woman with dark hair and glasses.

They say she was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt over a white shirt, a red & white hat, gray pants and brown boots.

Anyone with information is asked to call Springfield Police.
