OAKRIDGE, Ore. -- A student was arrested Tuesday for a threat made against the Oakridge Junior-Senior High School.
School officials said the student faces a disorderly conduct charge. The student was also suspended indefinitely, banned from school grounds and school functions.
They said on Tuesday the student made statements to a teacher regarding the possibility of someone shooting up the school but insisted they would not "shoot up the school."
The student's guardian said the student does not have access to weapons and that no guns or knives are in their home.
The student insisted they had no intention of harming anyone.
School officials said these types of statements will not be tolerated and will be taken seriously.
