EUGENE, Ore. -- The University of Oregon Athletic Director Rob Mullens announced on Tuesday that head football coach Willie Taggart has accepted the position of head football coach at Florida State University.

University of Oregon students said they're disappointed by his decision to leave the Ducks, saying they wish he would have finished one season.

Students also feel this will have a negative impact on the next recruiting class.

"I feel like he kind of betrayed us, let us down...promised us a really good recruiting class. I feel like our recruiting class is not going to be as good as it should have been in the coming years," said Lucas Murphy, a freshman at U of O.

"He recruited a bunch of great guys for next year and they all really wanted to play under him...they came here because of him, so I think we are going to see a drop in a lot of the new recruits for next year," said Alejandro Cruz, a junior at U of O.
