VENETA, Ore. - A Veneta teen is heading to Las Vegas to show off his rodeo skills and compete against other finalists.

Mason Stuller, 14, qualified for the Junior National Finals Rodeo after competing in a regional competition in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Stuller mainly rides bucking horses, but also rides sheeps and bulls.

The family has created a gofundme account for those who want to support his trip. They said they are welcome to finding a sponsor that Mason can commemorate with a badge during competitions.

In the regionals in Wyoming, Stuller rode bareback and saddle, but won first place in saddle bronc horses, earning him a spot in the finals. He heads into with finals with the number 4 ranking in the competition.

Stuller said he began going to rodeos at the age of four, but got the inspiration to ride after watching a movie. "When I was really little, the movie 8 Seconds, I just wanted to start riding and so we went and start riding sheep and kept riding every since then," said Stuller.

While competing at the regionals, Stuller fell off of his bucking horse, breaking part of his wrist as he tried to break his fall.
Stuller said, "It never feels good to fall off, feels a lot better if you ride the full time."

He is expected to be fully healed ahead of his competition in Las Vegas.

The Junior National Finals Rodeo runs from December 6th - 12th.
