"Today we did a good job of closing," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "I was proud of our execution down the stretch, and we played great defense in the second half. This is a tough road trip, and to get this one on the road is a great thing. Overall this was a great team victory."

Senior Marie Gulich had another outstanding evening for the Beavers, shooting 8-for-12 from the floor to finish with 18 points and six blocks.

Sophomore Mikayla Pivec notched her third career double-double, finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. Freshman Taya Corosdale came within two points of a career-high, scoring 11 points on 4-for-8 shooting.

The Utes would battle back to cut the lead to one headed to the first media break. The sides would trade buckets for the remainder of the opening period, as Oregon State headed to the second up 17-14.

The Beavers retook the lead to start the second half, but Utah battled back to go in front by five. Oregon State used a 6-0 run to go ahead midway through the third. OSU would extend the run to 11 to head to the closing frame up 50-44.

OSU went ahead by as many as seven in the fourth quarter, before Utah cut the lead to two with just over two minutes to play. The Beavers battled hard to close out the game, taking the win by 11.
