"This was an incredible weekend of basketball for our team," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "USC brought a great effort in, and I've got a ton of respect for what that team has done this year. In the first half we didn't handle their pressure very well, but I'm proud of this group for coming out in the second half and making plays. This was the awesome senior day that you hope for."

Gulich, Oregon State's only senior, finished 12-for-16 from the floor with nine rebounds, four blocks and three assists. Freshman Taya Corosdale nearly completed her first career double-double, going for 11 points and nine rebounds.

Sophomore Kat Tudor scored 17 points and pulled down six rebounds in 38 minutes of playing time. Her afternoon was capped off by a layup in the closing seconds to seal the victory.

Sophomore Mikayla Pivec filled the stat sheet, going for nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists, before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.

As a team, Oregon State shot 47.1 percent from the floor, compared to 34.3 percent for USC.

USC scored the first four points of the game, but the Beavers answered with 11 unanswered points, as they held the Trojans scoreless for a stretch of over five minutes. OSU carried an 18-10 advantage into the second period.

The two sides traded buckets for most of the second frame, before USC ended the half on an 8-0 run to send the Trojans to the locker room up 28-27.

The teams battled back and forth in a physical third quarter, as the Beaver built up a five-point lead going to the closing frame.

USC refused to go away in the fourth quarter, but the Beavers refused to give up the lead. Oregon State led by as many as eight early in the period, before USC cut the edge to three in the closing minute. Tudor's bucket in the final 20 seconds sealed the deal for the Beavers.

Gulich was honored in a special pregame ceremony, which included a rousing rendition of the German National Anthem.

The Beavers will hit the road this week, as Oregon State heads down to Arizona for a matchup with the Wildcats on Friday.
