Corvallis City Manager Resigns

Jim PattersonCORVALLIS, Ore. — The city manager of Corvallis is stepping down to take a job at Oregon State University.

Jim Patterson announced his resignation Monday, with his last day of employment to be Friday August 22nd.

Patterson has been named the new senior associate athletics director for the Oregon State University Foundation, as well as the senior director of development for intercollegiate athletics.

“Jim Patterson has provided thoughtful, strategic leadership for the City throughout his tenure as City Manager,” said Corvallis Mayor Julie Manning.  “He has worked effectively with the City Council, staff, residents and other community partners, and much has been accomplished under his watch.  I have very much enjoyed working with Jim, and he will be missed.”

The Corvallis City Council will appoint an interim city manager during its August 18th meeting.
