Corvallis Hiker Rescued From Mt. Hood

MT. HOOD, Ore. — An injured hiker from Corvallis was rescued from Mt. Hood just after midnight on Friday.

David Anderson, 53, called his wife on Thursday morning, saying he was disoriented in the fog and had twisted his knee. Anderson was 11 days into a three month hike down the Pacific Crest Trail.

Searchers said they were able to get his coordinates from his cell phone and pinpointed his location on the mountain.
