Corvallis Panty Thefts

Corvallis policeCORVALLIS, Ore. — Two Corvallis women have reported their underwear stolen out of their homes within the past month.

Corvallis Police say the two homes are about a mile from each other: one on the 900 block of NW Hayes Avenue, the other on the 600 block of NW Walnut Boulevard.

Investigators say one woman noticed about six pairs of panties stolen out of her dryer on Jan.25. Police say her underwear had been stolen from her home a few months ago as well, but she had not initially reported it.

The other woman says when she came home on Feb. 20, her garage door was open. Police say she noticed three or four pairs of her underwear missing from a drawer in her bedroom.

Police say they do not have evidence that the two cases are related.
