County Creates Info Line for Outage Help

EWEB Power OutageEUGENE, Ore. — Lane County has created an information call center for local residents who are experiencing hardship from power outages due to last week’s winter storm.

The emergency management team has contracted out United Way to field the calls.

The purpose is to provide people with information and assistance for what resources they have available to get them through these outages.

The lines first opened Feb. 13 from 2-6 p.m. but will remain open daily from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. until power is restored.

Lane County residents can also sign up to receive emergency alerts directly to a cell phone. Click here for more information.
