Train Slams into Truck in Junction City

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — A man and a woman walked away unharmed, after their pickup truck was hit by a train, Monday night.

Junction City police say that around 9 p.m. the couple was driving their Chevy pickup across the train tracks near 9th and Elm Street when the truck got high-centered on the tracks.

They were unable to move the truck and evacuated when they heard an on-coming train approach.

The truck was then struck by train. No one was injured in the crash.

Police say alcohol was not a factor. The woman was cited for driving without a license.
