Credit Card Payment Deliquencies Drop

(CNN) — Credit card payment delinquencies are down to near all-time lows.

That’s the finding from a recent TransUnion study reported in The Wall Street Journal Tuesday.

The study also found that despite the improving economy, consumers see their credit cards as a way to have convenient spending power.

A consultant for TransUnion says that thinking is evident in the low credit card delinquency rates.

Credit card debt is also low, they say, and though they have seen a quarterly rise in debt, they’d have to see more increases to call it a significant trend.
