Creswell Council Gets 2 New Members

CRESWELL, Ore. — The city of Creswell has two new council members, following nearly a month of drama with the city government.

The decision came down Thursday night during the city council meeting. Brent Gifford and Adam Pelatt begin their duties next week.

A few weeks ago, the city manager and two council members walked off the job, after some disagreements.

The mayor says despite the past tension with the council he’s excited for the future.

“Our two council members who resigned were both very good council members, but now it’s time to go forward,” said Dave Stram, Creswell Mayor.

The new council will soon discuss their goals for the next couple of years.
