Creswell Shooting Suspect Pleads Guilty

EUGENE, Ore. — A man suspected of being involved in a shooting in Creswell entered a guilty plea Friday.

The Lane County Clerk’s Office confirms Jessie Long pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree assault and one count of fourth-degree assault. These are Measure 11 crimes that carry mandatory prison sentences.

Deputies say a man was shot in the leg in the 500 block of Scarbrough Avenue in Creswell back in July. Long was one of two people that police were looking for in the case.

Long’s sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 17.
