Crews Prepare Fireworks Festivities

WESTERN OREGON — Western Oregon celebrated Fourth of July with events all day long.

The Creswell Parade kicked off Independence Day at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The City of Creswell was expecting at least 15,000 people to attend the event.

The 66th Annual Freedom Festival at Alton Baker Park started at 3:30 p.m. The fireworks show was scheduled for 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Ninth Annual Light of Liberty fundraiser at Island Park in Springfield kicked off at 4 p.m. Their fireworks show also started about 10 p.m.

The Annual Red White and Blue Festival took place in Corvallis. There was live music, food, kids’ activities and more.
