Dairy Queen Delivers Ice Cream to Kids

EUGENE, Ore. — The Dairy Queen on Coburg Road is gearing up for its Children’s Miracle Network fundraiser where it donates a portion of its Blizzard earnings to the charity.

On Friday, the restaurant delivered some ice cream to kids staying in the pediatric unit at Sacred Heart RiverBend. Miss Oregon’s Outstanding Teen was also on hand to brighten the kids’ day.

The owner of this Dairy Queen says that helping these kids brings him joy.

“It’s kind of a way that we can get to do something fun and give back to the community,” says Chris Bothman.

On August 8th, Dairy Queen will donate one dollar of each of its Blizzards sold to the Children’s Miracle Network, which goes directly to RiverBend. The charity says that 100 percent of the money donated stays in the local community. ┬áTo donate or to find out how you can help, click here.
