EUGENE, Ore. — If you’re looking for some entertainment this Friday, the Reach Center is hosting its 20th annual Dance for a Reason show.
The benefit showcases a variety of local talented dancers and choreographers.
Over 22 groups will perform from tap, to jazz, hip hop and even flamenco and Indian style dance.
This year the proceeds all go to the School Garden Project of Lane County, a nonprofit that teaches students about gardening and eating organic.
The Reach Center director and show organizer says there’s a lot of anticipation for the big performance.
“They work hard. They’re excited to be on the Hult stage. They’re excited to have a great audience, and they do it all in the name of Dance for a Reason,” said Geni Morrow, the Reach Center Director.
Morrow says over the last 20 years, Dance for a Reason has helped give over $80,000 to nonprofits.
Tickets are still on sale through the Hult Center, at $20 each.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24.
