DanceAbility International is known for its work with able-bodied and disabled dancers. There are now certified DanceAbility teachers in 37 countries.
The auction and performance will start at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the lobby of the Broadway Commerce Center in downtown Eugene.
“Primarily the funds will be used to scholarship people with disabilities and to create assemblies that we will take into the schools to educate kids about dance and disability and the possibility of all bodies following their own dreams,” said Alito Alessi, DanceAbility Artistic Director.
About 40 different pieces of art will be up for auction, all from local artists.
