Near DUNES CITY, Ore.– Oregon State Police says alcohol was not a factor in a crash that killed a 23-year-old Washington woman Saturday night.
The accident happened along Highway 101 near Dunes City just after 8 p-m. OSP says that the female driver was headed northbound on 101 when her Chevrolet Spark subcompact car crossed the center line and hit a Dodge pickup truck.
The 52-year-old pickup driver was not injured but two children in the truck were transported to the hospital with minor injuries . Troopers say the Chevrolet’s driver was wearing her seatbelt.
They say it’s unclear why the car crossed into on-coming traffic.
