METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Freezing rain has caused numerous down trees, power lines and power outages.  Freezing rain will transition to rain Saturday night, but we could see an additional 0.10″ of ice accumulation in some spots. Snow showers will continue above 6,000 feet Saturday night, bringing another 1-3″ for the Cascades.

ICE STORM WARNING and WINTER STORM WARNING cancelled for our viewing area, but warnings continue to our north. Commutes to the Portland area will be dangerous Sunday and more ice is expected to our north.

ain and warmer temperatures Sunday will help melt the snow and road conditions should improve immensely. Rain showers will continue through the rest of the week as a series of storms move across the area. The snowline will remain above at least 4,500 feet.

Stay Safe!
