Missing Trio Found Safe

SALEM, Ore. — Three people who were missing were found safe.

Daniel Yoder, 19, of Salem, picked up his two friends Tyler Cain, 21, and Faith Moen, 19, of Silverton, around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. They talked about taking a day trip to go play in the snow, but their destination was unknown. The three never returned home that night.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies searched the foothills of the Cascades Wednesday morning, after tracking one of their cell phones to a cell tower near Crooked Finger Road. More resources were called in to assist with the search. Yoder was driving a white 1994 Subaru Legacy station wagon (above).

Wednesday morning the searchers found the three friends safe and in good health.
