Develop. Manager Appointed to OR Board

CORVALLIS, Ore. — The economic development manager in Benton County is now on the Oregon’s Economic Development Association Board.

The OEDA is a nonprofit that works to support economic development in the state.

Tom Nelson works with Benton County to provide resources for businesses that want to expand and entrepreneurs who want to start a business. Now that he’s on the state board, he’ll bring even more to the region.

“What it means is that when there is a national or international project that is looking at Oregon, Benton County is at the table. Benton County is a place that will be considered,” Nelson said.

The Economic Development Office provides free resources to people with business questions.
