LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A blue-green algae advisory has been lifted for Dexter Reservoir, 20 miles southeast of Eugene on Highway 58.
Oregon Health Authority issued the advisory in August after high levels of blue-green algae were detected in the lake.
Tests confirmed that the algae cells in the lake are now at a safe level.
Blue-green algae can cause people and pets to get sick if they come in contact with water that has high levels of blue-green algae.
