NEWPORT, Ore. — A dog believed to be lost after the shipping boat the Two Mikes sunk earlier this week was found Wednesday.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says a fellow fisherman and good Samaritan found Camo, a 6-month-old pit bull, alive on the north jetty. They brought him to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. He was hungry and thirsty but alright.
The captain’s dog, Bob, a yellow lab, didn’t make it.
Two Mikes crewman Shane Lague told deputies he wasn’t sure he’d see Camo again, but Wednesday they delivered the good news and say Lague headed straight to Newport to see his pup.
